Local news in brief April 3, 2009 Egg hunts set for Magers Field

Families are invited to the city's annual Easter event on April 11 at Fort Marcy Park and Magers Field.

Santa Fe Community Services Recreation Division will host the 24th annual Easter event at Magers Field. Children between 6 and 8 years old and 9 to 11 years old will have age-grouped egg hunts. Other activities at the free event include a visit from the Easter Bunny, balloons, face painting, a drawing for a free bicycle and jump tents.

Bags for the egg hunt will be handed out starting at 10 a.m. and the hunt will take place at 10:30 a.m. Children age 5 and under will receive pre-assembled goodie bags.

Woodmen of the World will be hosting its annual community Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Woodmen of the World Lodge, 181 F Country Club Road.
