air flow box
It has the intake heater.
Heater return pipe or hose, leaking intake manafold gasket.
The intake heater is the square block between the air horn and the intake manifold.
How do I test the air intake heater relay on a 7.3 desiel
It has to be leaking from somewhere if not hoses, try to locate what area the leak is coming from, could be numerous things from heater core, radiator, intake, head gasket, etc.
replace the water heater inlet pipe on the intake manifold on a 3800
if it appears to be coming from where the cylinder head meets the engine block, it is the head gasket. if it appears near the intake manifold and head, it is the intake gasket (or intake AND exhaust gasket on a straight six or Chrysler slant six). if it is coming from the engine block it is a freeze plug. some v-6 and v-8 engines are common for springing coolant leaks at the intake gaskets.
a heater hose runs from intake to heater core to radiator. the heater core is were the heat comes from inside the car as well as defrost
Yes, pipe plugs from a hardware store will work just fine.
The heater hoses on a 305 engine run from the intake manifold to the heater core and the heater core to the radiator. This creates a constant source of heat to supply the heater.
You know the heater hose on a vehicle needs replacing when it beings to swell and soften. The heater hose runs from the intake manifold to the heater core.
the intake manifold is what takes air coming from the intake and directs it to each intake valve in each cylinder
