The 1999 Pontiac Grand Am AIT sensor is located on the outside of the air filter housing. The sensor will be on the back of the housing.
You can buy Casper's IAT sensor extension, and place the end of it wherever the air is coldest. Most preferably towards the fender. but still keep it after the filter of course.
"What is a ait sensor for a dakota99?"
The AIT sensor is located on the plastic tube that runs from your air filter box to your engine intake throttle body. There is a two wire plug that attaches to the sensor. It is visible as soon a you open the hood on the right side of the engine bay.
Not sure what an "AIT" sensor is, please explain.
If you look on the hose going from the air filter box into the engine the AIT sensor is screwed into the side of the hose
Test2
remove the polin filter cover and you will find the AIT sensor next to the polin filter
Built into the MAF
Ait sensor is part of the maf sensor!
Should be mounted on the intake under the engine cover. NEW ANSWER: The AIT sensor is part of the mass air flow sensor on that year. Must replace MAF sensor to repair the AIT sensor. NEUTZ
