Anatolian Plateau
The Anatolian Plateau is a region of the Earth much like the Sahara Desert, or the British Isles. It is still called Anatolia. Turkey is the country in which Anatolia is found. Turkey is larger than the plateau by about 1/2.
The Anatolian Plateau is located in the central part of Turkey, covering a large portion of the country. It is bordered by the Taurus Mountains to the south and the Pontic Mountains to the north. The plateau is characterized by its high elevation and flat terrain.
