The CC mint mark only appears on coins minted at the Carson City Mint, which operated from 1870 to 1893. The position varies based on denomination but is usually underneath the eagle on the reverse side of the coin; on Morgan silver dollars it's above the DO in DOLLAR.

Depending on the mintmark, exact graded condition, and the third party service which graded it, it could range from about $2000 for a Philadelphia-minted coin in MS-60 condition to $50,000 (or even more) for a CC mintmark certified MS-69. With no mint mark on the back, about $250 in average condition. With a "CC" mint mark, about $3500. If you have a coin with a CC mint mark, it should be authenticated by a dealer or grading agency to ensure that it's not a counterfeit.
If it has one, it is on the reverse of the coin, just above the "D" in the word DOLLAR. It can only be an "S" or "CC" mintmark.
If there isn't a mint mark on a US coin, usually it means that such a coin was minted in Philadelphia.
