The sesor is located in the egr valve which is in the center of the engine, on top. just to the left of the thermostsat/heater hose entering the engine

Remove and CAREFULLY clean the EGR valve shaft and it's passages in the engine and reinstall with a NEW gasket. If this does not resolve the problem, replace the EGR valve.
