the egr on a 2000 Ford Ranger is to the right of the air breather - follow to the end and /you will see two 10 m/m nuts that holds it on and then there is a larger bolt on the back side / take off the larger nut off first then the 10 mm bolts / note you may need to spray some pv blaster on all the bolts before taking off any/ take off the larger bolt off first and then the smaller ones also / make sure you clean out port after taking egr off / use round brass brush to clean out port.this will allow your computer to reset off on engin check light/ if it don/t reset go to your local auto zone and they can turn out light.

Location depends on the engine type, IE 2.3, 3.0 or 4.0 liter. The above location is for the 4 liter and possible 3 liter. The 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine location is on the back left side (driver's side).
