The vent control valve is located under the left rear fender and attached to the EVAP Canister, according to NTB96--07b. Good Luck
the canister vent valve is located behind the spare tire you will have to take the spare tire so you can see it
also referred to as the Vapor Canister Purge Valve and is in\on the charcoal evaporator canister. its under the floor above the spare tire location, locate the charcoal canister on the front of the gas tank and trace the vent line to the vent valve.
YOU WILL FIND IT MOUNTED ON A BRACKET UNDER THE TRUCK BY THE FUEL TANK
Where is the evap purge control valve located on a 96 camaro
the evap vent valve is located on the top of the fuel tank. the valve can only be serviced with the fuel tank removed from the vehicle. if you look under the rear of your vehicle in the trunk area you will see a black hose that looks like a household vacuum hose. that hose leads to the top of the to to the vent valve.
The vent valve is located above the tank and below the bed near the junction of the back of the cab and the front of the bed. It has one 2 pin electrical connector and on tube going into it. The valve is normally open. The ECM only closes the valve for testing of the EVAP system. If the valve fails to close when commanded or the valve has debris the SES will come "ON".
It is mounted up under the truck right next to the gas tank, in front of it.
the 4308 code is for a evap system leak. this could be caused by many different components including the filler neck, evap lines, evap purge valve, vent control valve or even a loose or bad gas cap.
underneath the rear of the vehicle near the spare tire if i remember right. it is on the side of a black box (evap canister) it is the "vent control valve". it could be other things than just the valve itself setting this code.
P0449 indicates a problem with the the EVAP vent valve solenoid circuit. Could be the valve or wiring. good-day !
