The Guru Granth Sahib is very important to Sikhism because it the Sikh holy book. It is the eleventh guru and is kept in ever Gurudwara.
The holy book kept in the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, is the Guru Granth Sahib. It is the central religious scripture of Sikhism, and Sikhs consider it a living Guru, treating it with reverence and respect.
The sacred building of Sikhism is where the Guru Granth Sahib is kept it is also a place of worship it is called the Gurdwara which means the Gateway to the Guru

The Guru Granth Sahib is the embodiment of all the of previous gurus, Guru Gobind Singh Ji commanded that the Guru Granth Sahib be our guru after him. The Guru Granth Sahib isn't though of as a book, it is thought of as a Guru, a person. Notice that the Guru Granth Sahib does not have page number, but aangs (body parts). As every indiviudual has a room in which they sleep, the Guru Granth Sahib has a room to rest in as well.

The respect and reverence shown to the Guru Granth Sahib in the Sachkhand reflect its significance in Sikhism as the eternal Guru.
