The same cartridge may have different names. Properly called the 9mm Parabellum, it is also called 9mm Luger and 9x19. However, there are SEVERAL different 9mms that do NOT interchange. Your High Point should be able to fire 9mm Luger.
This is a "Hi Power" pistol made in 1981
To break down a Hi-Point 9mm, first ensure the firearm is unloaded. Then, follow the manufacturer's guidelines to disassemble the gun by removing the slide, barrel, and recoil spring. Be sure to clean and lubricate the components before reassembling the firearm.
