The IAT ( Intake Air Temperature ) sensor is located on the back of the air cleaner housing.
The 1990 Geo Tracker IAT sensor is located on the top of the transmission. The IAT sensor will be near the back of the transmission.
The IAT Sensor on a 1992 Geo Tracker is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Replacing the air filter might fix this problem.
Its on the Air box
The IAT sensor is mounted in the backside of the air cleaner housing for a 1.6 MFI (Multipoint fuel-injection) engine and for a TFI (Throttle body fuel-injection) enging it's located on the right hand side of the engine, mounted in the intake manifold below the throttle body.
on a 3 cyl.metro, the iat sensor is found on the air cleaner housing towards the rear of the assembly
The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor on a 1994 Geo Tracker is located in the intake manifold or the air intake duct, typically near the air filter or throttle body. It is usually mounted in a way that allows it to directly measure the temperature of the incoming air. You may need to remove any air intake components to access it easily. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.
airbag sensor and iat sensor are not the same thing... wiki
connected to the air cleaner housing
rear of engine compartment near the bulkhead
Generally the IAT sensor will be inside the Intake Box toward the back side it will be close to the bottom of the box
The IAT sensor is a separate two wire plug right off of the air filter box.
I have heard it is located at the rear of the aircleaner assembly but it needs to be narrowed down from that vaque of answer.
