There is a plastic twist off cap on the passenger side of the intake. The pcv is there.
It does not use a pcv valve. The tubes coming out of the are of a specific orifice size and they do the same job.
A 1997 Jeep 4.0L does not have a pcv valve. It uses an orifice in the top of the valve cover.
Many of the 4.0 motors were never equipped with a PCV, but use the smaller line at the back of the valve cover to the intake as a meter orifice. The system is called CCV, for Controlled Crankcase Ventilation. Installing a PCV will overpressurize the engine and blow gaskets and seals.
I own a 2006 3.7L grand Cherokee and my tune up consists of spark pug replacements (6) for me, differential fluid change, ATF fluid change (no flush), and PCV. If you have a transfer case you will need to change that as well. good luck!
There is no - repeat - no PCV on the 4.0 motor and many others in this year range. The crankcase ventilation system is actually the smaller plastic hose plugged at the rear of the valve cover leading to the intake manifold. It has a sized hole to control the amount of air it draws through the intake. Installing a PCV into the larger hose at front will pressurize the crankcase and blow the weakest gasket, causing oil leaks and a series of gasket and seal changes that never solve the problem. Do not install a PCV unless you know for a fact the factory put it there.
If I'm not mistaken, it does not have a pcv valve, my 2000 doesn't have one on it...
4.0L does not have a PCV valve, it uses an orifice in the rear of the valve cover.
The PCV valve on the 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 engine is on the oil filler tube. It is on the top of the engine.
It is the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve.
The pcv valve is located on the rear of the oil filler housing.
V8, yes. I6, no. The I6 uses an orifice not a valve.
A 1997 Jeep 4.0L does not have a pcv valve. It uses an orifice in the top of the valve cover.
on a 1998 Pontiac gan am ,they do not have a pcv valve.
The Jeep 4.0 did not use a PCV valve. However, there is a fitting on the top of the valve cover at the very back of the engine that serves instead of a PCV valve.
the 89 with the 360 has the pcv valve in line behind the carburator.
the quad 4 engines don't use a pcv valve
