The train used in Petty Coat Junction, which was called the Hooterville Express, used equipment from Railtown 1897 which is located along the Sierra Railroad in Jamestown, California. The equipment used is still at Railtown 1897. Many other movies were also made using equipment from Railtown 1897. It is called the "Movie Railroad" because of all the movies using their equipment.
