if you have the northstar engine it is located in the center of the block.
you must remove completely the intake manifold to access it.
if you have a4.9 it is under the left side near the a/c compressor

The starter solenoid is attached to the starter. When you replace the starter, you'll get a new solenoid.

Follow the positive battery cable; first it goes to the starter solenoid then to the starter. I hope this helps you. Mark
