ANSWERThe compressor is not hard to change, just loosen a belt, some mounting bolts, and a few hoses. The problem, however, is that once you remove the coolant lines, you let air into your a/c system, then it needs to be evacuated and recharged. If you don't, your a/c won't work properly because the air in the lines will cause the compressor to cavitate, and you could ultimately ruin the new compressor, so either way, you should take it to a certified a/c service center.

The high pressure port will be between the compressor and condenser. On the 134 freon systems you can't get the two mixed up, because the hose fittings are different sizes.
