Air Cleaner as in Cabin Air Cleaner? If you're talking that then its right behind the glove box.
The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is an integral part of the MAF (Mass Air Flow) meter which is located on the plastic molded air cleaner box assembly. This is true for all modern Toyota/Lexus/Scion products.
in the air cleaner box assembly
Pop the two metal clips on the air cleaner ( black box at the drivers side of the engine compartment). It will lift out exposing the air cleaner element which can be lifted out and replaced. Replace in reverse order.
it is located under the air cleaner assembly box
I believe the unit inside the air cleaner assembly is the ecm. Electronic control module/ car's computer.
There is only one air cleaner, aka air filter, on 1980-1993 Cabriolets. It is located in the air box, which is directly below the fuel distributor; the entire assembly is behind the battery. There are four metal clips that mate the fuel distributor housing to the air box.
It is in the air cleaner assembly. That is what my notes say. I am not sure that means behind the glovebox in the ventilation assembly, or the air cleaner box under the hood. I would recommend looking near the air cleaner box under the hood first as it is most accessible.
Remove the air filter cover. Then the fresh intake tube that attaches to the bottom of the air cleaner box. You will see it compress on the bottom of the tube. (Its still a pain to deal with) The air cleaner box is held in place with 3 grommets. Please your fingers around the grommets so they stay in place, and just pull the box upward. If a grommet come up with the box its no big deal, just push them back in their holders. Once the air filter box is removed just unsnap the headlight backing plate and proceed.
My Manual shows the relay to be under the Air cleaner assembly, mounted to the fender well. I looked on my car but can not see it easily. You will beed to take the Air filter box off and it should be right there under it,aligned at about the center of the relay box which is in front of the Air cleaner.
on the air cleaner box to the right disconnect wire harness it pulls off. but mine was on the air cleaner box.
Hi, The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located inside the Air Cleaner Housing Assembly (the box that holds the air cleaner). This is located under the hood, on the driver side of the van. Good Luck
air intake sensor or air flow meter which measures the mass flow rate of intake air is located on the air cleaner assembly where the black intake hose connects to the box
