Where is the air conditionning refill valve on 2002 ford focus?

It's in the passenger side front wheel well above the tire. You'll have to remove the plastic wheel well liner to access it. Remove the plastic clips holding the liner starting at the forward lower clip and working your way up and around until you've take enough out to access the a/c hoses that contain the refill valve.

∙ 13y agoThe low pressure valve where you connect your freon hose is located on top of the "air dryer" which is behind the plastic inner right front fender. You'll need a torx wrench to remove the outer fasteners, and a very large flat screwdriver to remove the inner fasteners. My Focus has just one of each and I've learned that if I remove one of the outer torx fasteners, I can get my refill hose in and connect it to the low pressure valve. This is much easier than it may sound but why can't Ford put something under the hood where it can be reached?
Note: I've seen the large freon cans with the built in valve and pressure gage. I don't think these will work as well as the kit with the longer hose and separate cans of freon. I don't think there's enough room for the can to fit under the fender well with the tire in place.
