It's between the air filter and engine
To clean the air filter on a Yamaha YFM200 remove the filter. Spray the filter with filter cleaner that you can by at a home improvement store. Fill a bucket with warm water and dish soap, swish the filter in the water and soap. Rinse the filter in a bucket of plain water. Only wash foam, or cotton filters, not paper.

The Yamaha Stratoliner and Roadliner Motorcycles have their Air Filter located under the fuel tank between the cylinder heads. You remove the tank, and the Air cleaner cover is in the center right on top under where the tank was.
you will need AIR-FUEL-SPARK (assuming the kill switch is on "run" and the "key is on")In neutral if kickstand is down.1.Start with gas. Physically look in the tank also check for fuel coming out of the petcock.2.Check for Spark. If their is no spark. Check the coils. The rear cylinder coil is on the right side of the bike (sitting on it) behing the neck cover. Front on Left.3. Check air filter. Although it should still start with bad air filter just run bad.Basically your concerned with Spark and Fuel.
With company air filter its 100 - 110 km/hr With K & N its 140+
Remove the false gas tank cover via the 2 Allen screws, one on each side. The air filter is underneath it.
