To remove the air cleaner from a 1986 V6 Astro van, simply locate the filter box above the radiator and remove the cover by flipping both of the metal clips. you can now pull the filter out and insert a new one, using the arrows as a guideline to make sure that the filter is facing the correct way. Clip the metal tabs back into place and replace the cover.
Beginning with the 2002 models. Look behind glove box door to see if you can see a panel that pulls out. Walmart now carries Fram cabin air filters. Look in the Fram application catalog in the filter section.
A previous poster asked if there even WAS a cabin air filter and was told 'no'. I changed the cabin air filter on my Prius. It was very simple. Just open the lower glove box, squeeze the sides slightly and you can see the filter frame on the firewall. It slides out and you remove it and replace with the new pad. It is about 10" by 10". After spending 30 minutes on the Internet looking for a replacement cabin air filter for my 2001 Toyota Sienna the parts department told me the van does not have one. No wonder I have had trouble locating it! DUH
You won't find one. That van doesn't have a cabin filter.

The 1994 Ford van did not come with a cabin air filter. The van has a "free flow" design as did most Fords that year.
In order to change the cabin air filter, you just take out the old filter that is under your dash and put in the new one. The filter helps to filter outside air.
