The cam sensor on a 1996 Mercury Villager cost about $35 to $40. The sensor is actually manufactured by a Nissan subsidiary.
That year did not have one. Was not used until 96 and up.
Front top of the intake manifold.
It is under the alternator.
It is on the drivers side of the rear cylinder head.
The temp sensor is in the transducer inside the transmission on the vavle body. The transducer is usually gold and has a 4 wire oval connector. the temp sensor is built into it
The oil pressure sending unit is located right above the oil filter.
Remove the negative battery cable for 30 seconds. This works on pre '96 cars.
Try replacing the engine coolant temp sensor.
first locate you throttle body on the upper plenium it is the sensor right below it on the front of the engine
right before the mass air flow sensor
