On the 2.7V6:
Open the hood. The sensor is located on the left hand side of the engine block opposite the coolant reservoir. Wait until the engine is cold and pull the upper radiator hose and air-con pipes to the left and you will see the sensor and plug, to the right of the hose about 10-12 inches down.
You do not need to disassemble anything to remove and replace the sensor, but you will need a 13mm ring spanner and some patience. If you can get someone to hold the hoses to one side, it'll make removing the sensor easier but it can be done alone. If I can do it, anyone can.
The sensor is held in place by a threaded post with a nut welded to it. At first sight, I expected the nut to come off, but it doesn't. Remove the plastic cap on the end of the post (it holds part of the wiring loom in place) and the unbolt the post and remove it. The sensor will pull free but might need some wiggling to get it loose.
If you're lucky, You should be able to simply unplug the sensor and fit the new one. Mine was seized, so I had to cut off the receiving plug that holds the sensor (called a pigtail - I have no idea why) and replace that as well. The whole job took about 20 mins, including re-connecting the severed wires. The new pigtail had corresponding color coded wires, so matching them to the loom was easy.
Hope that was helpful and good luck!

it is an part of the distributor unit. you have to change out the entire distributor.
it is at the rear of the cam on the driverside
On the six cylinder, it is inside the distributor. On the four cylinder, it is on the driver side end of the cylinder head.

The cam sensor is part of the distributor. You have to replace the entire distributor.
It is a sensor that reads the rotational position of the camshaft. The engine computer uses that to control ignition and fuel timing.
