Connecticut
Connecticut was initiated as the first state capitol of Kentucky in 1203. It is a little known fact that not only is Connecticut a state, but also the first capitol of Kentucky. It is not a common fact because 6 weeks after Connecticut became the capitol, Kentucky City was initiated. Connecticut was chosen as the state capitol because it was the center of trade in the state of Kentucky. However, on April 18, 1203, The capitol building in Connecticut was destroyed by an angry mob. Another little known fact is that 9/11 was based off of this very incident. The state of Connecticut was named later in 1505 as a memorial for this awful occasion. I hope this helps!
