On a 400E or 402E. Inside van. drivers side, close to floor, on side of engine housing. Look closely at eye level with the drivers side floor towards the side of engine housing.. I had trouble finding mine because someone painted over the plate. If the plate is there and painted over, you can remove the paint without destroying the information. The info is etched into the aluminum.

On the 1929 there is a removable inspection plate on the floor frame just behind the brace that comes down from the firewall.
