On a 400E or 402E. Inside van. drivers side, close to floor, on side of engine housing. Look closely at eye level with the drivers side floor towards the side of engine housing.. I had trouble finding mine because someone painted over the plate. If the plate is there and painted over, you can remove the paint without destroying the information. The info is etched into the aluminum.
Where do you find the chassis number on a 1999 Ford F250 truck
Google!
Chassis.
Look on the firewall, in the glovebox, door post, etc.
the chassis number is located on the lh side off the fire wall
All F350 series ford trucks/vans etc. are one ton chassis
It is stamped into the chassis where the drivers side inside the engine bay.
From what i have found on my 1929 model A the chassis number is located top of the chassis rail under the cowl on the left hand side. On the 1929 there is a removable inspection plate on the floor frame just behind the brace that comes down from the firewall. The 1928 does not have this inspection plate, i have been told that some 1928 have no chassis number.
It will depend on year. Newest models tend to be inside the windscreen at the bottom on passenger side.

Assuming it's on a Ford Econoline chassis, it should be under the dash on the driver's side (which is typical of most vehicles).
