Does a 1998 Honda prelude have a clutch cable
ecu program for 89 prelude si.what is it andwhere . htanks
You could, but because the '94 Prelude is heavier than the '89 Prelude, it doesn't make sense to swap in a smaller powered motor.
It has a hydraulic clutch
To adjust the clutch in a 1989 Ford Capri, locate the clutch cable on the firewall near the clutch pedal. Loosen the lock nut on the adjuster, then turn the adjuster to increase or decrease the cable tension until there is about 1/2 inch of free play at the pedal. Once adjusted, tighten the lock nut and check the pedal feel to ensure proper engagement. Make sure to test drive the vehicle to confirm that the clutch operates smoothly.
Remove inspection plate on bottom of transmission, bar the engine until you visualy see the adjuster on clutch, press clutch pedal, push in and turn adjuster clockwise until about two inches of free travel at clutch pedal is achieved (5/8 socket for adjuster)
you need to first remove the dust cover on the transaxle then remove the taran saxle itself. after this take apart the transmission housing and just switch them out.
