Coit Tower is located on the top of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, California. It is also known as Lillian Coit Memorial Tower and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Coit Tower was built on top of San Francisco's Telegraph Hill in 1933 with money donated by Lillie Hitchcock Coit. She had a longtime love of firemen and the heroic job they do. If you see a picture of Coit Tower, you will notice that it is shaped like a firehose nozzle.
