The compression in each cylinder should be within 10% of the others. 125 to 140 is rather poor, below that it probably won't start.
Set the #1 cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke. Adjust distributor so that the rotor point directly at the #1 spark plug wire in the distributor cap. Any deviation will be corrected by the PCM. You're done.
It should not be under 100 psi and not over about 135psi for a stock 2-stroke.
