On a 2001 Jaguar XK8, the coolant expansion tank is located in the engine bay, near the front of the vehicle, on the passenger side. It is typically a translucent plastic tank with a cap that is marked for coolant fill. To access it, you may need to open the hood and look for the tank adjacent to the radiator. Always ensure the engine is cool before checking or adding coolant.
To remove the gas tank from a 1999 Jaguar XK8, first ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then drain the fuel from the tank and remove the fuel filler neck. Next, disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors, and unbolt the tank straps. Finally, carefully lower the tank from its position and remove it from the vehicle.

Production continued until 2006, contributing to a total of around 25,000 units for the entire XK8 series.
Restricted Performance mode is entered when there is a fault with the car.Take it to a Jag dealer, have them fix the fault.

Um, its in the trunk under the mat.
It's in the gas tank. And is very awkward to replace. It also lists for $500, but most Jag dealers will discount it to the $400 range. Don't buy a 2002 or earlier pump and think it will work. The earlier ones are only $100 or so, but they won't work in a 2003+
