There is no such thing as a: temperature switch, on your Ford focus, the coolant temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine.
Where is the coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 ford focus?" Where is the coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 ford focus Where is the coolant temperature sensor on a 2002 ford focus
where is the coolant system thermostat on a ford focus 1.4 zetec engine
A coolant system temperature sensor controls it. : CHILTON calls it the cylinder head temperature sensor. Some after market manufacturers call it the coolant temperature sensor. These are equivalent.
cooling fan not work on ford focus zetec
on top of the thermostat housing.
In a 2003 Ford Focus : The engine coolant reservoir is on the passenger side of the engine compartment ( it has a thread on pressure cap )
On a 2001 Ford Focus : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
Or, if everything else is operating properly, it could be the thermostat or a blocked radiator, but I'd focus on the thermostat first. Be certain that the engine is at normal operating temperature when looking to see if coolant is circulating. A properly operating thermostat will prevent the circulation of coolant while engine temperatures are below operating temperature.
pop the hood, locate the coolant reservoir tank (has a cap with psi and temperature warnings) look on the side of the tank, and there will be a max and a min line. should be filled to min when the motor is cold. hope this helps.
the coolant temperature sensor is actually called cylinder head temperature sensor and its located near the alternater
It depends which engine you have; however, the CHT is a Cylinder Head Temperature, not an ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) and on the Zetec DOHC engined Focus this is on the cylinder head, squeezed behind the alternator where you can't really see it. Most Focuses have a CHT and not an ECT. Ben
