If you will go to Crowley Marine you can look up just about any old outboard motor. There is a diagram there for the 1971 25 hp Evinrude and if you will look there is a plate on the right side looking at the motor from the propeller end just below where the gearcase extension bolts on. It has several small holes in it and this is the water intake. On the Crowley gearcase drawing it is part #19.
The 2003 model, 200hp Evinrude outboard, may be equipped with either a standard gearcase, which has the common inlets on both port and starboard sides of the case, or with a high performance Lightening gearcase utilizing a low water pick-up. The linlet on the later design is located underneath the nose of the gearcase bullet.
It's located on the passenger side, backside of the engine underneath the air intake manifold.
The cooling temperature sensor is located on the drive belt end on the intake manifold on 3.0 and 3.8 liter motors. On 3800 motors it is located on the opposite end of the intake.
Themo switch located on the radiator Or intake manifold , that is usually runs a relay fOr the. Oolong fan
It is located under the intake manifold. With the hood open, look under the plastic intake manifold and it screws into the engine block. I removed the intake to get at mine. Not a very fun job.
Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to the engine . The engine cooling thermostat would be in a housing that is bolted to the front of the intake manifold
The coolant fan sensor is the same as the sensor that shows the coolant temperature on the dash gauge. It is located on the intake manifold.
If you follow the top radiator hose from the radiator you will see where it connects to the engine cooling thermostat housing on top of the engine intake manifold . The engine cooling thermostat is under the thermostat housing
Depends where the water (ie coolant) intake is
The air intake for interior, aka 'cabin' heating & cooling, is located in the engine compartment. This air intake has a filter on it. Look for a 10" long by 1.5" tall cover in the plastic cover / trim / housing, just underneath or engine-side of the passenger wiperblade. Remove the cover and the filter is located just inside.
It will have two. One for the guage/light and another for the PCM and cooling fans. One will probably be located in the intake behind the alternator, and the other one, also located on the intake will be over by the upper radiator hose/thermostat housing. The one over by the alternator will be the one that signals the PCM.
It depends on the engine liter. For 2.2 liter engine check the intake manifold, under the outlet resonator and duct assembly. For 3 engine liter it is located below battery cooling box.
