On the phase 3 model (up to 1996 - N Reg) its on a pod at the front left of the engine bay, jut below the level of the rediator, It is a 12 pin socket - as opposed to 16 like most diagnotic ports.
Look in the passenger footwell under the capet the diagnostic port is in the fuse box.

hi you have to screw them back in, if pads were low they will be difficult to go back and will need a brake rewinding tool. most good car acessory shops sell them about £20
