Its behind the left hand side headlight as you face the car, between the back of the headlight and the airbox (I'm assuming its a C20NE engine?)

Belt mate.
If yours has disc brakes, remove the caliper mounting bolts and move the caliper out the way. Remove the hub nut assembly and withdraw the disc. Separate the disc from its carrier and hammer out the studs from the front.
There are several ways, it depends what your plans for the vehicle are. Join FOG, "Frontera Owners Group" and you will find all you need there.
if its a frontera 'a' , on the 2.2 engine (with code x22xe) its an integral part of the oil filter housing and sadly, only on this engine, its not a cheap fix as i found out to my expense ( as i own a fronty with this engine ! ) the whole asembly is around £130 and you have to buy the complete unit. if its a oil pressure problem your having, then try changing/cleaning the relief valve first
Remove the outside hub cover with the auto lock logo then remove the circlip on the end of the drive shaft once this is done the shaft is then free of the hub assuming you have already removed the ball joints to free the hub from the wishbone
On my 93 mod. it is between the steering wheel and the dashboard
Firing order is 1-3-4-2.
