Usually after your catalytic converter. Usually after your catalytic converter.
The down stream oxygen sensor is screwed into the exhaust pipe behind the catalytic converter.
It has both an up and a down stream oxygen sensor.
oxygen sensors are on the exhaust pipe close to the engine. Some are on the exhaust manifold. some may have an upstream and a down stream sensor.
bank 1 is drivers side down stream o2 / bank 2 is drivers side down stream o2
my 99 e250 with 5.4 gas engine has 2 upstream sensors and 1 down stream sensor.
2 one in exhaust stream and one after converter! one upstream and one down stream ,doen stream oxygen sensor is in exhaust pipe after the converter. upstream sensor is ahead of converter.
Assuming that you are referring to the downstream oxygen sensor, that will be the one located after the catalytic converter (the exhaust side, not the engine side).
There is one upstream and one downstream.
The lambda sensor reads the oxygen in the exhaust stream.
upsteam sensor may be in the exhaust manifold, down stream is after the cat., in the exhaust pipe.
I don't know were it is located, but I do know there are 2 of them. An up stream & a down stream. I need to know were both of them are located, for I have a 99 Saturn SL2 DOHC
