the ecm is located inside the distributor 1st mark the location of the spark plug wires on that come from the passenger side of the vehicle on the distributor cap as well as the wires, and remove the coil wire as well. next remove the dist cap, and lay to the side. remove the screws holding down the rotor. the ecm is the module with the 2 sets of wires in the back of the dist. the wires should be pink and white. If replacing the ecm make sure you use enough dielectric grease "not always supplied w/new ecm" between the ecm and the dist. assembly is reverse order. "make sure you hear the plug wires snap when attaching them to the dist cap"
