If is the 3.8l, it is on the top front of the engine (passenger side). Looks like a small can with an electrical connection and a tube coming out the top.
The EGr valve can be difrent and is in difrent locations on the various engines

The 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8 liter engine EGR valve can be found on the top of the engine. The EGR valve will be near the back of the engine.
From my experience the original will fail by 50,000 miles.

Just replace it, the sensor on the top of it is usually what goes bad.
It is a code for a failed EGR valve.

Above the alternator. A tube runs from the top of the EGR valve to the top of the intake manifold.
