Mine is on a 03 plate ,and it does not have an E.G.R Valve..

Depends on engine type. There is no fixed location.
The idle air control valve on a Vauxhall Vectra B is located on the intake manifold. The valve is placed in front of the air tubing, right behind the engine cylinder head.
You do not say which engine it is, But if its 1.8 or 2.0 ecotech engine, it might need the Idle Control Valve cleaning I had the same problem, sometimes when slowing down for a corner or junction it would cut out.
If you are speaking of the Vauxhall Vectra SRI (normally aspirated engine) 2.2L then the approximated time is 8.6 seconds. This is the 16 valve engine that has 154hp.

the PVC valve should be located on the valve cover by the intake manifold on top of your engine block
it should be under the right hand side of the engine cover!
The EGR valve is located at the front of the h22a4 engine. The EGR valve is right beside of the front of the EGR valve.
It is located on the top of the valve cover towards the rear of the engine.

There are ( 2 ) valve covers on the engine in a Ford Excursion V8 engine
