On my 2000 International with a Detroit series 60 engine the water temperature sensor is on the back of the engine, passenger side in the cylinder head. Gears

Te 2000 F150 does not use a coolant temperature sensor. The engine uses a cylinder head sensor close to the head back to check the temperature.

Start by replacing the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
The Engine coolant temperature sensor is installed in a coolant passage which is located at the front left cornerof the cylinder head.
Behind the alternatorion a 2000 dodge ram 1500 pick up 5.9 engine .where is the temperature sensor from gauges located It is next to the thermostat housing.
The engine temperature sensor is under the alternator.
