The fan relay turns the radiator cooling fan on and off. The most common location for this relay is mounted on the front left frame rail.
sounds like a bad relay change the fan relay
The common problem for the climate control fan not going off after the engine has stopped is the fan relay sticking. Replace the cooling relay located in the engine compartment near the fan housing. Usually if you tap it with a hammer it will go off. This is the fort sign its the relay sticking.
i would replace fan relay, before replacing thermostat. the relay acts as a thermostat for the fan, turning fan on and off when needed
If the fan does not stop running after the engine is shut off in the Renault Scenic 2000, there could be a problem with the fan relay switch. The fan relay switch is located in the fuse box.
Put your finger on it then turn fan on/off, you should feel the relay latching "clicking"..
The fan should turn off after the engine is shut off. If it stays on, the radiator fan relay has failed.
FAN RELAY
A Volkswagen Jetta radiator fan is controlled by a fan relay. If the relay malfunctions the fan could either stay on or not work at all. An engine diagnostic would be recommended.
Temperature coolant switch is bad or fan relay is stuck closed. Unplug the temperature switch and see if fan goes off. If not, it is the relay. Unplug relay and check contacts with meter to see if they are close (no resistance). Replace relay or switch depending on results.
This is caused by one of two things, if the fan is controlled by the thermo switch even when the car is off, then either the thermo switch or the relay is stuck on. If the fan never runs when the car is off, then it's a stuck or shorted relay.
check your relay for the cooling fan and fuelpump
