If you are looking for the cooling fan switch it is located just to the left of the lower radiator hose, screwed in to the lower tank.
there is no fan belt for that car. the fans are electric

what "fan" switch? there are 2 fans-radiator fan (electric) and interior "heater" fan. ***the interior fan switch is on the dashboard, just above the radio. it is a "bar-grasp" switch with white dots above the switch. the rad. fan switch is controlled by the ecm thru. the coolant temp. sensor. addendum: ***is for a '95 galant. your int. heater switch will, more than likely, be different
does your car have A/C? If yes theres a a/c fan switch located by the a/c compressor

1992 olds Achieva does not have that switch. ECM receive signal from the coolant temperature sensor and send command to relay #6 for turn on/off the radiator fan. Relay #6 is located in the motor compartment on the fireboard.
