Memorial Day is observed in the United States on the last Monday of May each year. It was first established as Decoration Day in 1868 and was officially declared a national holiday in 1971. Therefore, Memorial Day occurs annually, with its first observance being in 1868.
In observance of Memorial Day, we visited Arlington Cemetery. The church will be open from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for the observance of Good Friday.
