It is part of the fuel pump assembly in the gas tank
Quoted from Haynes manual for Sebring/Stratus/Avenger: The manufacturer does not suggest periodic fuel filter replacement on 2001 and later models because the fuel filters are integtated with the fuel pump assembly.
The fuel filter is inside the fuel tank, so you have to drop the tank to get to it.
If it is a 6 cyl My Mechanic told me it does not have a fuel filter.
The Fuel filter is above the gas tank.
The fuel filter on a 2001 Dodge Caravan is mounted above the fuel tank.
No.
My stratus is a 2000 The fuel filter is just above the gas tank. Yes, the tank must be lowered to get to it.
Where are you looking? In my 2000 it's in or on top of the gas tank. Kinda hard to get to but it should be there!
I see this question all the time. People the fuel filter is always located between the fuel tank and the engine. Get down under the car and start at the fuel tank. Follow the fuel line forward. You will find the filter. There are a few exceptions, as in a Dodge Neon, which has the filter located in the fuel tank.
It is part of the fuel pump assembly in the tank.
Hmmmm. My Stratus is a 2000. The fuel pump is in the gas tank. Change the filter while you're at it!
The fuel filter on a 96 stratus 2.4 is located above the fuel tank. You have to drop the tank (at least the back half) to change the filter.
