IT IS LOCATED ABOUT A FOOT IN FRONT OF THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE AND ABOUT A FOOT DEEP (ITS A BIG ONE). THERE WILL BE A CLAMP HOLDING IT SO RELEASE THE BOLT AND JUST DICONNECT THE LINES. Depends on the year of the car. For 1990-1993 Cabriolets, the fuel filter is near the fuel pump, as decscribed in the previous answer. For 1979-1989 Cabriolets, the fuel filter is in the engine compartment, between the battery and strut tower and to the left of the airbox: Undo the banjo bolts, lift filter out (fuel will pour out, have rags handy), install new filter with new banjo bolt washers.
