The fuel filter is located underneath the car on the drivers side. Look along the inside of the frame. It will be a canister type filter. You might want to double check the engine size. You probably have a 2.4 liter engine. If possible go to your local auto parts store and purchase a Chilton's repair manual for your car. It has helped me alot. Hope all goes well. if you are under the car looking at the gas tank there is a cylender next to the tank (towards the rear bumper) about the same size as a soda can.

Pull off the right front tire (passenger side) and you will see it.
check under the driver's side, on the fuel line, somewhere near the tank.
