Most GM vehicles of that year put the fuel filter almost directly under the driver tucked under a frame member.
The filter is on the back side of the fuel tank. Look under the back of the car. You will see ,what looks like a small pop can. That's it. Make sure the key is off and you don't turn it on while you have the filter off. The fuel pump kicks on and won't kick off until there is 10# of pressure.
It is located behind the gas tank in the rear of the car.
