I have a 97 Metro four door. The filter is located just forward of the rear axle. If you slide in just in front of the rear driver side wheel, it will be an inch above your nose. On most newer Metro's (and most vehicles manufactured today) the fuel filter is mounted with the fuel pump in the fuel tank. Generally have to drop the tank to service them.
