The fuel filter is located under the back seat. Remove the back seat by lifting up the front part as there are 2 clamps on either side. You need to pull the seat upwards. Once the front part is lifted up you will see 2 bolts on either side down the back between the seat and the back rest where it's bolted to the car's body (down where the seat belt buckles go to). Undo these bolts and the bottom seat will lift right up. You will then see an oval lid that's stuck to the top of the petrol tank. Gently pry this open and be careful not to damage the cable that's there. It may seem stuck at first but it's sealed with some sort of sticky silicone type adhesive. I used a screw driver and slowly lifted it up.
