My '93 has filter secured to inside of "frame" rail below driver's floor pan, accessible from underneath. Perhaps yours is similar? Right under drivers side door.
It is inside the fuel tank.
answer for fuel filter. it is under vehicle driver side seating area.
On the 1989 Aerostar it is under the dash near the passenger door.
If your Ford Aerostar sputters at high speeds, you might have a problem with the fuel injection system or with the fuel filter. You could also have water in the fuel lines, bad gas, or even a spark plug fouling issue.
in the tank
I have a 1989 and a 1991 aerostar, so forgive me if I'm wrong. On both of my vans, the fuel filter is located under the vehicle, under the drivers seat, closer to the side of the door than the side of the transmission. mine are cylindrical, but are covered by a square guard. When in doubt, follow the fuel line coming out of your gas tank. It has to reach the filter before it reaches the intake manifold. hope this helps
The fuel cut off switch is bad! Replace it
Under the van by the left/front tire attached to the inner frame.
It should be located on the drivers side frame rail near the rear of the motor. (This is under the vehicle)
Bad relay? Blown fuse? Bad ground?
on the drivers side frame rail
For a 1997 Ford Aerostar : ( 21.0 U.S. gallons / 79.5 litres )
