Follow the fule line from the tank, there might be one in the line path just front of the tank on the sending line. Or keep following the line into the engine compartment it might be on the back fire wall or by the carb or intake for the injection fuel rail. The fuel filter on the 99 is on the frame rail under the drivers seat. It looks a little hidden but it is on the frame.
