On the 2001-2006 Hyundai Santa Fe (4 cyl or V6), the fuel filter is a special "long life" type of filter located in the gas tank. It is better known as a "fuel screen", or "fuel strainer", that surrounds the fuel pump. The filter is generally only replaced if/when you're replacing the fuel pump.
In the tank, there is no serviceable fuel filter. It should last the life of the car. Hyundai did away with most serviceable fuel filters around 2002.
