Ford fuel pumps are in the fuel tank. The line comes from the top of the tank, alongside the frame, to the injector manifold. the fuel filter is on the frame below the drivers door. in order the replace the filter you will need to buy a tool the replace it.
Do you mean fuel filter hose? That would be the supply gas line. Please reword.
Your fuel lines have fitting that can be taken off with simple disconnects from Autozone. Tell them you need Ford fuel line disconnects. Just clamp the disconnect on and pull the line off and change the filter. Someone at AZ will tell you how. -bronomudder89
Look under vehicle - follow the fuel line
The bleeder valve for the brakes on a 1997 Ford Ranger is located in the brake line where it meets the brake disc. The wheel will have to be removed to access the bleeder screw for drum brakes.

if a v8 most likely on front of carb. look for the fuel line from pump
You need to get a quick disconnect tool from any parts house to remove the fuel lines.

on my 1994 ford ranger, i just removed the holding rings on each end of the in and out line very slowly until the pressure was released. you will get a bit of gas spray but nothing serious. hope this helps. fordman.
