It has an electric fuel pump inside of the fuel tank.
no- 1998-2000 Chevy Venture vans only have a relay for the fuel pump and no fuse.
A reset switch was ONLY used on CARS. Not trucks are vans.
Chevy Astro and GMC Safari
Fuel pump is cooled by the gas around it, keep your tank at a quarter or above. This is a common problem with Express Vans. Also a partially clogged fuel filter will cause the fuel pump to overheat.
No there is not, Chevy did not use a reset / Inertia switch on there trucks and vans. Need to check Fuel pump pressure and wiring harness at the fuel tank for fire. Check fuel pump relay and fuse. If you don't find your problem in this area, then you will need to ask your question again.
Hi, The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you have to drain and remove the fuel tank because none of the vans in this line (that I know of) have an access door. Sorry about that. Good Luck, Greg
Fuel pump is in the tank on the chrysler mini-vans. have to drop the tank to access the pump. there is no inertia switch on dodge and chrysler products. Could have a problem with the fuel pump relay , believe it is under hood in the fuse box.
Mini vans are popular among American families. You can purchase mini vans at any used car dealership, such as Toyota, Ford, Chevy, and Honda. Used car dealerships are found throughout many cities especially in the metro Detroit area.
After driving several of these vans for a number of years, the best way I can tell is to listen for the fuel pump coming on when you first turn the key without starting the engine. You'll hear sort of whine for about 5-10 seconds from the fuel pump in the gas tank. As a rule, about 99%, if you don't hear the pump, the pump is out.
The mini vans from 1996 - 2004
89 Vans/trucks had a fuel pump relay, the contacts may be corroded. It may be located in the fuse compartment, as in the pickup. A trip to, or phone call to your Chevy dealer's repair department, and they'll let you know for sure. Clean the contacts, and reinstall it. If you still have the same problem, you may need to replace it. (About $20.00). If that doesn't solve the problem, you may have a faulty fuel pump. They, are not cheap!
Assuming you mean the full-size vans, it's on the fuel pump in the tank.
